I didn’t like the name rose on its own coz it reminds me of old people & lavender so when I saw lily -rose as a name I thought that was better coz it has another flower with it & it suits me more than the names alone it’s ideal & a beautiful bouquet flower name & candy as a middle name I’m keeping it just in case I have a girl lily-rose candy

Marvel Says:
actually, I have only ever meant one other girl whose name was spelled like mine (Lily). I am named after the flower, lily of the valley. I know several other Lillies who spell their name like this: Lilly or Lillie because they are named Lillian which means flower. This Lily means pure, which I was surprised to find wasn't mentioned in the information above.

Daiseymae Says:
Me too.

bordercollie Says:
I can admit that Lily is pretty, but it has always sounded very flimsy to me. It's light and elegant, but insubstantial, a bit cutesy, and I can't imagine it on someone older than eleven. Lillian is far more mature in my opinion, and less overused.

Sillysarahlily Says:
My middle name is Lily, it was my dads aunts name, I quite like it

paulapuddephatt Says:
So, so beautiful

Tillie_Jay Says:
Ugh! Why is this name so popular? It's so cute and I love it, but I would never name anyone Lily because they'd just be one of the thousands. The name is just so pretty though!

Michaela Says:
Wilted.

Swangirl Says:
I love this name so much. But i keep watching my friends using it on their babies and I have to call my little dancers in the same class "Lily S" and "Lily R" and I'm getting sadder and sadder...

RoddyThlayli Says:
When I was little I used to absolutely worship the name Lily, but now it just sounds sort of uninteresting to me.

Marlz81 Says:
I wish this name was less popular.

germanstar Says:
This name is really beautiful and cute for a little girl. A friend of mine has a young daughter named Lily and she is the only person I know whose name is Lily. That's why I can't even imagine this name on an older woman

01eurylil Says:
I am named after my great-grandma who's name was this. So even though it is popular, it has a lot of meaning.

Guest Says:
If it wasn't so popular (I HEAR IT EVERYWHERE!!) I'd love this pretty name. Thankfully I have my other flower choices ??

TheClockworkPrincess Says:
I agree. Its an extremely pretty name but also really popular. :/

basilietea Says:
This is my sister's name and I love it. It suits her brilliantly... She's a happy, sweet, loving little girl. Lily is so pure and beautiful, it's perfect.

AnonymousPerson Says:
Beautiful, but much overused.
Childish and frilly, I can't imagine this on a grown woman
